The ‘greengrower’ Tunnel House is a little different from the normal stretched tight polytunnels you may see. Using a proven system found in many commercial nurseries we fix our growing polythene in a less tensioned way with over and under hoops.This also makes the assembly process much easier. This system allows the growing cover to expand and contract with less stress. Our design is able handle strong winds better. The engineered structure is available in a 4 standard sizes that will feed just about any family. Built to last and able to deal with all weather types this building looks at home in rural settings and creates another point of interest in the garden.
Clever design and quality componentry ensures that the Tunnel House is straightforward to assemble by any semi competent DIY person.
I have been using & developing tunnel houses for over 5 years now after being hooked into it when a close friend of mine built his own based on the classic 'Kerikeri Nursery' design and began growing beautiful produce and I now offer my design to the keen grower.
We offer raised beds as an option, these are not essential, you can grow your crops straight in the ground and cultivate the soil. If you have bad soil or hard clay the raised beds make life easier.
The product that we manufacture uses a commercial growing grade UV stabilized 200 Micron heavy duty Agphane cover which produces a lot of growing power. The whole product has been designed to combine quality materials with well thought out durable features. Features developed from having a few years experience growing in Tunnel Houses in the North of New Zealand.
